The firm was founded by William "Bill" J. Ziegler, Jr. (1956-2010) as the Law Office of William Ziegler. Bill concentrated solely on Social Security Disability Law starting in the early 1990's. When Bill brought Matthew Lane in as a partner in 2010, they changed the name of the firm to Ziegler & Lane, LLC.
