Ms. Fineran received her J.D. in 1996 from the University of Colorado School of Law at Boulder, where she was an Associate Editor of the Colorado Law Review and the recipient of three American Jurisprudence Awards.
Prior to her career in law, Ms. Fineran obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Communication from the University of Louisiana. She has worked as a radio disc jockey, news writer and producer in her hometown of New Orleans, as a freelance journalist, as a public relations director, and as an instructor of communications, speech, and television broadcasting.
Ms. Fineran is admitted to practice in the State of California, the District of Columbia, all California federal district courts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the American Bar Association and its Antitrust Division and of the San Francisco Bar Association.
